Storm Damage – Chicago Office Building
Storm damage to this Chicago office building caused severe flooding on the top floor of the building. SERVPRO of Hyde Park / E. Bridgeport / Bronzeville was called during the storm to place tarps on the roof to stop the influx of water into the interior of the building. While the placement of tarps was successful hundreds of gallons of water had already been allowed to enter the top floor of the building. When this type of storm damage is faced by our crews, we would call in specially trained technicians equipped with a large quantity of water extraction equipment to clean up the water. After the standing water had been dealt with our crews would set up commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to quicken the pace of the drying process.
