Water Damage – Chicago Home

Water damage struck this Chicago home when a strong band of thunderstorms packing very high winds tore a large section of the home’s roof off allowing a lot of rainwater to enter the interior of the home directly. SERVPRO was contacted during the storm to stem the flow of water coming into the home. We placed tarps on the damaged section of the roof. Once the storm subsided, we were asked to clean up the water. We employed truck mounted water extraction equipment to suction up the water from the interior of the home. There was significant debris from the ceiling water damage to be cleaned up also. Roof repairs were performed as the interior was being dried.
