How to Prevent Chicago Winter Flood Damage

After a long winter, all that snow has to go somewhere. As temperatures rise in Chicago next spring, you should be prepared to handle all the extra water. By taking some steps before the snow melts, you can help prevent flooding in your home. Removing the snow accumulation from around your windows, foundation, and doors keep it from melting and leaking into your home. You should also check your gutters and roof, plus clear snow from drainage areas.
